The Northern Victorian Sleddog Club was formed in 2011 to take over from the Undera Sled Dog Club when it’s committee decided to hang up their harnesses after running the Under Sled Dog Dash for 21 years.

Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame was set up to record and honour some of Australia’s great mushers who are not only great competitors but who have also contributed greatly to the sport through training, administration and the running of races. Lift Membership comes with the Hall of Fame induction.
In 2013 Di Baker became the first musher inducted into the NVSDC’s Hall of Fame.
Di Baker has excelled on all levels she is an amazing competitor, has represented Australia Internationally and contributes regularly to training and encouraging new and older competitors in the sport.
In 2016, Wayne Baker was inducted to the Hall of Fame. Wayne Baker has provided ongoing support to the mushing community through his mentoring, assisting and supporting clubs in the running of their races and ensuring that people have the opportunity to grow and learn.
In 2018, Vaughan Winther was inducted to the Hall of Fame. Vaughan has been racing dogs since the turn of the century and has helped many clubs become sustainable. Vaughan has a passion for helping novice and junior mushers and has been a critical part in Australias and New Zealand junior development program
